Sam Howard

Dance Instructor

Sam

Ms. Sam is 23 years old and grew up in Orange County, California and began her dance training at Showtime Dance Company and transitioned to West Coast School of the Arts where she trained in a professional environment and was a competitive dancer up until she was 15. During this time, she also worked with Debbie Allen in her production of The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker for about 3 years, trained at Southland Ballet Academy, and modeled for dance magazines.

Upon arriving in high school, she joined the Academy for the Performing Arts at HBHS for dance as well as musical theatre. She had many performance and training opportunities including traveling to Edinburgh, Scotland to perform in Cabaret at the Fringe Festival, attending conventions, and working with experience choreographers in the business. Ms. Sam moved to Texas in 2016 and started teaching at Fuller Rhythm Studio and later taught at Studio 12 with The MVMNT and FIDC. Her senior year, she co-choreographed a production of The Addams Family in which she was nominated for a ‘Best Choreography’ Award at the Dallas High School Musical Theatre Awards (Broadway Dallas).

Since then, she has choreographed over 15 middle school, high school, and community theater musicals and is increasing that number to this day! As well as a full time job, she also performs alongside Lorena Leigh, she has choreographed and performed for 1999 The Legacy of Prince, and of course teaches and choreographs at Dancer Strong. She is extremely grateful to have found her dance home with Dancer Strong and looks forward to sharing her passion and love for dance with your dancers!
